Super Eagles Set to Open Camp in Kigali on March 16 Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will begin their training camp in Kigali on Sunday, March 16, as they gear up for two crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Head Coach Eric Chelle is expected to unveil a final 23-man squad later this week from a provisional list of 39 players. The squad will feature several fresh faces as Nigeria seeks to turn around its qualification campaign.

Currently in fifth place with just three points from four games, the Super Eagles face Rwanda on March 21 before returning home to take on Zimbabwe on March 25 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

With their World Cup hopes hanging in the balance, the three-time African champions will be aiming for maximum points from these encounters to boost their chances of securing a spot at the 2026 tournament.
