Manchester United Co-Owner Jim Ratcliffe Blasts Underperforming Players

Manchester United’s co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has expressed his frustration over the club’s struggles, criticizing some players for underperforming and being overpaid.

In an interview with British media, Ratcliffe pointed out that several players—including Casemiro, André Onana, Antony, and Jadon Sancho (currently on loan)—were inherited from the previous regime and have failed to meet expectations.

The 72-year-old billionaire, a lifelong Manchester United fan, acquired a 28.94% stake in the club last year. Despite the team’s disappointing performance, with United currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, Ratcliffe remains committed to turning things around. He has set a bold target of winning silverware by 2028.
