The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the postings of six newly appointed Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs) to key departments within the force.
According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, this strategic move aims to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen security nationwide.
Under the new postings:
- DIG Sadiq Idris Abubakar will head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).
- DIG Benjamin Nebolisa Okolo takes charge of the Force Intelligence Department.
- DIG Williams Adebowale will lead the ICT Department.
- DIG Bzigu Yakubu Kwazi assumes control of Operations.
- DIG Adebola Hamzat will oversee Logistics and Supply.
- DIG Idegwu Basil Okuoma takes over Research and Planning.
Additionally, DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya has been reassigned to lead the Department of Finance and Administration.
The IGP expressed confidence in their abilities and reaffirmed his commitment to strategic deployments that maximize police effectiveness.
