FG Calls for Better Diagnostic Services to Boost Healthcare

The Federal Government has urged stakeholders to integrate diagnostic services into the healthcare system using advanced technologies and skilled professionals.

At the National Summit in Abuja, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziak Salako, stressed that better diagnostic integration would improve efficiency, cut costs, and make healthcare resources more effective.

With the theme “Unlocking Healthcare Value Chains and Improving Universal Health Coverage through Integrated Diagnostic Services,” Dr. Salako emphasized that the initiative could reduce medical tourism, create jobs, conserve foreign exchange, and improve healthcare access for Nigerians.

Speaking on behalf of the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Representative, Dr. Laxmikant Chavan highlighted WHO’s efforts to strengthen diagnostic networks and ensure reliable access to quality healthcare across the country.
