Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the Honourable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, inaugurated the 26th Regular Course of the Nigeria Foreign Service Academy in Abuja.
In her address, she urged the new trainees to uphold discipline and strive for excellence, emphasizing that the program serves as a vital foundation for their future roles in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu highlighted that their selection into the academy reflects their potential and dedication. She reminded them that, as future diplomats, they will represent Nigeria on the global stage, where their professionalism and conduct will influence the nation’s image and influence. She noted that the training is designed to challenge them intellectually, test their resilience, and enhance their ability to think critically in complex diplomatic environments.
The Minister also commended the Director and management of the Foreign Service Academy for their commitment to grooming Nigeria’s future diplomats. Acknowledging the challenges ahead, she encouraged the participants to remain focused and determined, assuring them that the training offers significant opportunities for growth and achievement.
The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including representatives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, and the Presidency.
